Colour of the week – Evergreen

When I think of winter colour it's always the richest of colours that come to mind - it's why over the past few weeks I've been featuring deep blues through to warm reds, but this week I've been thinking about one of winters truest colours - Evergreen...

Pantone Memory Lane: 2013 – Emerald

Every year at the start of December, Pantone releases their next colour of the year. It is always a highly anticipated announcement as designers around the world try to guess what the newest colour will be. In the lead up to this announcement I thought I would pay homage to a few colours from previous years – this week we are taking a look at 2013’s Emerald. Colour of the week – Lime

This weeks colour is a challenge for me. I say that straight up, as it is not one I would really choose for my home. In saying that, I chose this colour because often as a designer we have to work with styles or colours that are very different to our own personal choices. Colour of the Week – Mint

About this time of year, every year, pastels and gelato inspired colours start hitting the shelves in forms of clothes, accessories, furniture and homewares. Being a spring person, these colours are among my favourites as they are fresh, clean and a welcome break from the greys and blacks we see throughout winter. Mint Green is one that’s great for this time of year as it blends well with the grey tones, but can also be livened up with bright colours for a summer inspired palette. Take a look at the images below to see how mint green transitions the seasons like a pro!

Colour of the week – Emerald Green

Hey Folks, We thought it would be great to start a little series that goes by the name “Colour of the Week”. To kick things off we will start with Emerald Green, Pantone’s colour of the year for 2013. I would suggest that Emerald Green is a colour that is best suited to living spaces such as your living & lounge rooms, dining room or kitchen. That being said, in small doses anything goes! Emerald Green is a colour that we don’t see super frequently in interior spaces. If you were wanting to decorate with this colour, inspiration could be a little lacking, however, that’s not say you can not create a…
